Evaline Forbes was born to Alexander and Camille on a warm wednesday in August. She was their first child and unknown to them, their only child. Alexander and Camille met when they were in college, with Alexander studying business and Camille having traveled from France to study Law. They were a good team. Alexander’s family had a tech business built up from the ground that gave them the fame most people craved. Camille had generational wealth and her entire life planned out by the age of ten.She'd known exactly what she wanted for her entire life and that included what kind of man she wanted to marry. Handsome, kind, rich. Alexander was all of these things and more importantly, he adored Camille. He adored every part of her, he'd move the earth for her. They married surrounded by their families two days after their college graduation. Camille joined a law firm and Alexander stepped into his place within his father's business. They moved into a penthouse and began building their life together.Life was perfect. They had everything they wanted and when Camille announced her pregnancy, Alexander felt like his life was finally complete. His feeling was only confirmed when his daughter wrapped her hand around his finger for the first time. Yes, their life was complete. Evaline was raised in their penthouse with anything she could've ever dreamed of. Her parents let her pursue any passion she had. Ballet, Ice Skating, Various instruments, Painting, Singing. All of them. Evaline chased passion after passion, trying to find her purpose just like her mother had.She went to private school and devoured the knowledge the best she could. Evaline twirled through life with the love and support from her parents. She felt like she could do anything with them by her sides. And then she turned twelve. One day, Camille never came home. They’d gone out for a family dinner to celebrate her mother winning a big case at her law firm. It had been storming on the way home and Alexander lost control of the car.Camille Forbes died holding her daughter's hand on November 13th. The loss hit Evaline and Alexander hard. While Alexander threw himself into his job, Evaline let herself disappear. She stopped chasing her passions, stopped participating so much in class and shrank away from most of her friends. The absence of Camille was felt in every inch of their lives. It wasn't until Evaline’s thirteenth birthday came and went that Alexander seemed to snap out of his loss-filled fog and notice that his daughter had all but physically disappeared.He became her dad again, taking care of her the way he always had. It took some time, but eventually Alexander encouraged Evaline to go back to dancing and skating. She'd refused to touch anything else. Unlike how Alexander thought it would, her grief didn't fully heal as she returned to her activities. Evaline needed something else, which is how she turned to song writing. She wrote song after song about everything she felt and on the second anniversary of her mothers death, Evaline recorded a video of herself singing a song she'd written for her mother and posted it to youtube.The rest is history. Evaline was spotted by a talent manager who scooped her up and helped her start her career. She climbed the charts slowly, being labelled as the sweet and innocent kind. Things began to get better, but they also began to change. When Evaline was sixteen, Alexander started dating a woman named Stephanie. Evaline didn't like her, she felt like she was trying to invade their lives. Stephanie didn't like her either. Maybe because she knew that Alexander would always love Evaline more.Still, Evaline could feel a piece of her heal every time she dedicated a new song to her mother. Camille had always loved when her daughter sang. What better to be Evaline’s passion? For now, she's content in her bubble, singing her songs, travelling the world. It's easier knowing that her mom would be proud of her and everything she was doing.
